Fête au Village

The annual festival known as the "Fête au Village" is held the fourth weekend in July and is an example of the strong community spirit that exists in the Town. This well attended event is an opportunity for new visitors to celebrate the French Culture of Legal's pioneers as well as an opportune time for a reunion of family and friends. A very special Thank You to all our volunteers, without your time Fête Au Village wouldn't be possible.

Did you know that the Fête returns a share of their profits to community groups that volunteer for this event! This is a fun and easy way to raise funds for your group. You don’t need to be part of an organization or group to volunteer. We welcome any individual who would like to donate some of their time. The following is a short list of events that need your help. Please call Chasity at 780-961-3819 if you are interested….give it a try….its a very rewarding experience.

President – You will lead the committee in the planning and preparation for the Fete au Village.
Show and Shine – This is a great job for a person with a passion for classic cars and so easy to plan.
Gate volunteers – You will solicit and organize volunteers to run the entrance gates.
Donations (Pre-Fete) – You will send out pre- formatted letters to previous donators and follow up
Food Ordering (Pre-Fete) – You will order the food for the Fete from a pre-determined list of supplies.
Advertising (Pre-Fete) – You will collaborate with the printer to update the advertising for new events.
Clean Up (Post- Fete) – Sunday morning clean-up.

Demolition Derby Rules & Regulations

The scheduled Fete meetings will be held at the Town of Legal office at 7:00PM (dates will be listed closer to the event). We welcome anyone who would like to participate is the exciting event.

Baseball Tournament	Legal plays host to a men's league baseball tournament.	Citadel Park
Children's Mini Parade	Kids of all ages dress up and parade down main street to the delight of all the adult onlookers.	Main Street
Family Fun in the Park	Hot Dogs, Pop, Ice Cream, Train Rides, Music, Games and Prizes	Citadel Park
Chili Cook Off Contest	Locals cook their famous chili recipes for everyone to sample and judge. Register with Christine - 961-3773.	Citadel Park
Tug'o'War	Register your team (4 boys + 4 girls) $20.00 per team. Phone Bobbi 961-4188.	Citadel Park

Parade	A big parade for a little town. The candy toss is a big hit.	Main Street

Petting Zoo	This is a hit with the kids.	Citadel Park
Bingo	Come play a card or three.	Curling Rink

Demolition Derby	Often called the main event. It is a "must see".	Citadel Park
Local Talent and Entertainment	Appearing all day at the Gazebo.	Citadel Park
Beef Roast	A complete dinner and dessert.	Citadel Park
Fete Au Village Awards	Volunteer of the Year.	Citadel Park
Beer Gardens	A place to socialize and meet up with friends and family.	Citadel Park
